To really be able to understand my band photos, you have to listen to the album that the band is working on at the time the shoot takes place.  It’s conceptual, man! Dreaming Dead are no exception.  Because of this, I’m going to talk to my web guy (Steve) and see what we can do to make the music more accessible in the future.  In the meantime, click on this link (please!) to Dreaming Dead’s Myspace page to listen to their music (may I recommend “Putrid is the Sky” ) and get the full effect of what we’re trying to express in the photos while checking them out.

Coates and Scarry Blog

Hearing about an exhibit in Bristol, England called “Art of the New World” I wrote Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City, CA to ask if I could be a part.  Although I was too late for the show, the gallery director, Mr. Richard Scarry, said both him and his partner loved my work and was wondering if they could interview me for their blog.  I immediately agreed and the following interview took place.  It was re-posted in a couple of different places including Juxtapoz and Daily duJour.  Pretty cool to be getting recognized by the art world.  Thank YOU!
