“Where Photo’s Go to Die” This Week Uncovered

You know me– I’ve taken your picture so many times and you have yet to see any of them! The photo’s have gone to “Where Photo’s Go to Die” -AKA my hard drive. This week in attempt to have some fun with it, I’m going to be throwing some photos up in creative category’s including, “L.A. Woman”; “Dark, Where Has the Night Gone?” (I have no idea what this is going to be); “Umm…” (that sounds like a good one!); and, another that hasn’t been named yet— taking suggestions!

This is a work in progress and your advice and inspiration is much appreciated. Things will be changing quite often over the next week so continue to check back!

Judging at the Scholastic Art Awards

The Scholastic Art Awards have been around for a long time– Andy Warhol, Sylvia Plath, Truman Capote, Richard Avedon, Robert Redford and Joyce Carol Oates were all award recipients. I remember hearing about the awards when I was a student in elementary school, back when the highest form of art to me meant appreciating the the art of illustration in children’s books. That’s when I wanted to be an author and Maurice Sendak, Dr. Suess, and other sadly forgotten illustrator/authors combos were my heroes.

I’ll be reliving my childhood on January 25th, 2012 by helping judge the photography and photography portfolio section of the these infamous awards. Excited to be a part!

Shooting Food with Steve is Fun

One of my favorite clients is Steve Coy. Not only is he one of my best friends, designer of my website, designer of Marilyn Manson’s website, drummer and song writer to rock band extraordinaire Bethpage Black; but he is also a magnificent cook and on top of that food styles like a god! Usually food stylists make the food look good and then you can’t eat it, right? Not this man!!! We drink beer and dine like Bacchus while making decent day rates and still our clients love us because of the quality we deliver. Anywho… here’s some shot’s from our most recent shoot for Black Rock Gourmet (new website coming soon…).
